PESQUERIA DEL TAMBRE

The modernist architect Antonio Palacios designed in 1924 along the river Tambre a hydroelectric plant and all the workers' houses. In 2003, the original stone houses were converted to provide accommodation, giving shape to the new La Pesquería del Tambre Hotel. One house holds the reception and the La Central restaurant, with cafeteria and lounge. The restaurant sits up to 45 dinners and offers traditional local cuisine. The 16 double rooms are distributed among the Casa del Jefe, opposite the pool-solarium, the Casa de los Maestros, the Cámara de Carga and the Escuela de Corneas, with a friendly and personalised service. The relaxed atmosphere surrounding the hotel is combined with the possibility of activities (canoe trips down the river, horseback riding, rafting, canyoning and hiking trails) and buy private fishing license at reception to enjoy the experience full-on (the hotel offers licensing for fishing and fishing monitor service).
