Sunstar Hotel Grindelwald

Most of the medium to large rooms have a balcony and have been decorated in a typical Swiss style using a lot of pine furniture and wooden beams. The rooms are in good condition as are the bathrooms. The rooms face the town of Grindelwald and although there is no Eiger view, they do offer Mountain views of the surrounding peaks. The hotel restaurants offer a wide variety of international and local dishes at very reasonable prices. The hotel consists of two very different types of buildings; one resembles a chalet and is very attractive with wooden balconies and the other is a modern styled building. The large traditional style lobby incorporates a spacious lounge with an open fireplace that evokes a homely atmosphere. The only large hotel in town, yet in true swiss chalet style it really feels much more cosy and traditional than its size would imply.
