GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF PROPERTY: Recently renovated this 150 year old stone house is a perfect hideaway for anyone seeking total privacy and seclusion. The house has been in the same family for over 150 years and has been carefully and tastefully restored without changing the character. As you enter the front gate and step into the courtyard you are instantly taken back in time yet can enjoy every modern convenience. The living area, bathroom and bedrooms have been separated from the kitchen and dining area by an open courtyard and there is a small dip pool. The courtyard contains plenty of garden furniture. There is also a BBQ and an authentic stone oven. LOCATION: Situated just under 2 km from the Coastal fishing village of El Cotillo this tiny little village is new for holiday makers. The locals are mainly goat farmers producing the famous Maxorata goats’ cheese available directly from the farmer. The way of life is simple and honest giving you the chance to combine a beach holiday in a rural setting. ACCOMMODATION: Courtyard approx 70m square. From the street a large door will take you into the courtyard. The floor has been covered with slate. Large wooden table with 4 chairs. Dip pool in right hand corner 3m x 5m. Sunbeds with cushions. Many antique ornaments and furniture together with plants etc. There is a BBQ and stone oven. On the right of the courtyard you will find the kitchen area, which has built in seating under a beautiful picture stained glass window – approx 1.8m x 1m. There is also a small wooden dining table and 4 chairs. TV and CD player. 1.5m fridge freezer, 4 ring electrical hob, ceramic tiled work surface, plenty of cooking utensils, toaster, food mixer, whistling kettle, teapot, jugs, coffee maker, iron and board and many lovely ceramic ornaments displayed. There is a large stainless steel sink with mixed tap. To the left of the courtyard is the entrance hall, which has a writing table and chair, beautiful oil painting, antique walking sticks on display and other ornaments. Left of the entrance hall is the shower room approx 5m x 2m. Contains washing machine, ceramic tiled shower area, stainless steel hand basin, toilet, towel shelf, ornaments and mirror. One of the Bedrooms contains twin beds with table and lamp. Dressing table and mirror, wardrobe, beamed ceiling, window with view of the sea. The other Bedroom contains double bed and bedside tables with lamps. Antique dressing table and mirror, tall- boy, fitted wardrobe, wicker table and chair under the window with view of the courtyard, beamed ceiling, wooden flooring mirror and footstool. Manager: The property is managed by the various owners. The mother of the family lives next door to the house and you may see her watering the many plants. She is a local craft maker and is responsible for many of the decorations in the house. Cleaning on arrival and departure. Changing towels and sheets once a week.
