The Ritz-Carlton Abama

LOCATION

This luxury hotel with his 160 hectare oasis is situated at the west coast of Tenerife in Guia de Isora, about 33 km from the south airport Reina Sofia. From the hotel you have a fantastic view to the Atlantic Ocean and the neighbor island of La Gomera. The resort has a special architecture and is situated directly at the 18-holes golf court. Below the hotel there is a 200m long sandy beach. The hotel offers a free shuttle service (daily except on Fridays) to the shopping center “Safari” in Playa de Las Americas.

FACILITIES

Since July 2007 this 5 star Luxury Hotel belongs to the Ritz Carlton chain.

The main building is built in the form of a citadel with its 321 rooms and suites, and the exclusive villas in the garden with its 148 rooms and suites.

The villas are being build on a terrace form, by which every level disposes of its own pool, designed by the international well known architect Melvin Villarroel.

The hotel has an elevator, 3 bars (Lobby bar, sports bar and Cubanika) and a wine-bar/restaurant “Tapas and Wine bar”, 10 restaurants (one of them leaded by the 3star cook Martin Berasategui, the with 2 Michelin stars nominated Gourmet restaurant “M.B.”, the Japanese restaurant “Abama Kabuki” (owner of 1Michelin star) and different theme restaurants such as an Italian and an Argentinean restaurant).

The new cocktail bar  „Cubanika“ with special theme Havana in the 40´s not only offer a great variety on cocktails, but also its own brand of cigars. 

In the subtropical garden landscape with about  90.000 palm trees and about 300 different plant sorts and waterfalls there are in total 7 fresh water pools, an exclusive sandy beach, 2 natural (rocks) swimming pools with sea water and a beach club. Sun beds, mattresses, sun shades and pool towels inclusive at the pool and on the beach.

ACCOMMODATION

Double rooms Citadel (50 m²)

Equipped with bathroom (amenities of Asprey), shower/WC, hair dryer, bathrobe, flat screen satellite TV, high speed internet access (against charge),safe, mini bar (against charge) and individual regulated air conditioning. All rooms have a terrace or balcony with view to the resort. Sea view can be booked against extra charge. Can also be booked for single use (only possible with view to the resort). Wi-Fi against charge. Maximum occupancy 3 adults or 2+1 (no cot).

Junior suites Citadel (70 m²)

Equipped as the double rooms, but bigger and with a separated sitting area. Sea view against extra charge. Maximum occupancy 3+1 or 2+2 (no cot).

Citadel suites  (80 m²)

Equipped as the junior suites, but bigger and with a separated living room. Sea view against extra charge. Maximum occupancy 3+1+cot or 2+2 +cot.

Villa- double rooms Deluxe (ca.50 m²)

The villas are situated in 4 rows which on each row 4-5 villas in a line. Each row disposes of a separated pool (except the last row, in front of the restaurant El Mirador). All rooms are directed towards the ocean, the rooms down floors have a big terrace with a view to the resort. Rooms on the first floor with sea view can be booked against extra charge. The rooms are in colonial style and have a king size bed, flat screen TV, high speed internet access (against charge), bathroom/WC, hair dryer, bathrobe and accessories of Asprey. Maximum occupancy 3 adults or 2+1 (no cot).

Villen-Suite (80 m²)

As the villas double rooms, but bigger and with a separated living room. These rooms have a resort view. Sea view can be booked against extra charge. Maximum occupancy 3+1+cot or 2+2 +cot  

Children´s room

For 2 children a children´s room can be booked and a double room for the adults with resort view. Clients receive 2 rooms next to each other or with connecting door.

Tagor villas   

This separated area is only for adults with minimum age of 18.Exclusive access to a private pool. The Villas have a sea –or garden view. The following services are included :personal check-in, breakfast at the buffet in the restaurant „El Mirador“ from 07:30 until 11:00 o´clock, water, soft drinks, beer and white wine during the day at the pool, 4 times a day little snacks are being served at the pool, Espresso machine, water cooker for tea in the room, DVD player in the room. Buggy for free. Maximum occupancy 3 adults 

Double Deluxe Club Level with sea view

Equipped as the double rooms Citadell with sea view and have additionally access to the Club Lounge with breakfast and snacks, canapés, drinks, cakes and pastry. The Club Level Lounge is situated in the 10^th floor with view to the golf and the mountains. The rooms have a Nespresso coffee machine, an iron table and Ipod base.

BOARD

Only accommodation with breakfast or half board

Breakfast at the buffet and dinner à la carte as Dine around in Pampa Verona, El Mirador and Wine/Tapas bar. Dinner in another à la carte restaurant is possible with reservation and extra charge. Honeymooners receive 1 free dinner in the restaurant “Mirador” (drinks not included, minimum stay 7 days.)

The Japanese restaurant „Abama Kabuki" is closed from 01.09.-01.10.2015 and the gourmet restaurant M.B. from 15.06-15.07.15,.

CHILDREN´S PROGRAMM

New renovated Abami Kids Club (10:00 until 18:00 o´clock) (for children from 4-12 years) on a superficial of 300 m². Program for the youth (childcare from 18:00-00:00 o´clock against charge - 8,- per hour and child), welcome present upon arrival, cots for free.. Baby phone on request and against charge. Water playing toys available at the beach and the pool.
